Course Offerings

Computer Programming in C++ Grade 11, 12 Honors 641
Prerequisite: Computer Applications and teacher recommendation
This course is an introduction to the C++ Computer language with a focus on programming fundamentals rather than on specific features of any operating system. It applies computer science concepts using C++ with hands-on exercises using realistic yet imaginative programs, problems, and interdisciplinary projects. This course develops programming skills and knowledge of computers. 

 
Basic Computer Class   9, required
Students in this course will begin to learn the computer systems at Holy Name High School. The Basic Computer course will include learning research software including Gale Net and the Library Catologue. Students will also learn the expectations of the computer system throughout the school. This course will conclude with students working in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to learn basics in writing papers and presentations on a high school level.
