This special school has been providing an outstanding learning and growing experience for young men and women for forty-two years.  Located on the western edge of the city of Reading, our students come, not only, from nearby places like Shillington, West Lawn, and Wyomissing, but also from as far away as Europe, China, and South Korea.

Our students, because of the high caliber adults who work with them as teachers, coaches, counselors, and moderators, become active and influential members of their communities and impart Christian values in all that they do.  Among our Alumni we count many doctors, lawyers, accountants and even several priests. This is a very successful school.

We are pleased that, for the last two years, 95% of our graduating students have attended a four-year college. Some of these colleges include: the University of Notre Dame, West Virginia University, Pepperdine University, and Washington & Jefferson University, as well as most of the state universities of Pennsylvania, just to name a few.  This past year our graduating seniors earned $2.8 million dollars in scholarship money.

As you explore these pages, you will learn about the many parts that comprise this wonderful institution.  You will learn about academic programs including Virtual High School and Dual Credit Courses.  You will see the success of our 19 varsity athletics teams.  You will learn about our spiritual and service programs.  You will also find information about our many other activities and clubs including the band, the chorus, the ice hockey team, as well as other clubs and organizations.  Most importantly, you will learn about the very Catholic nature of Holy Name High School.
